About Suanzi Pekingese

Located 2hours from Toronto, Canada , Suanzi Pekingese is a preservation show kennel founded on respect for tradition, responsibility, and excellence. Our mission is to protect and advance the Pekingese breed through thoughtful, ethical breeding rooted in world-class bloodlines.
We do not follow trends or produce volume litters. Every breeding decision is guided by a long-term vision for the breed—structure, balance, temperament, and type must come together naturally.
Intention over volume

Our Breeding Philosophy

We believe the Pekingese should remain:
Our dogs are raised in a high-end family environment, exposed from birth to daily life, human interaction, and structured socialization. This foundation produces Pekingese that are confident, adaptable, and emotionally secure—qualities essential for both show careers and family life.
Created for companionship, not excess

Pekingese as a Toy Breed & Companion

The Pekingese is a true companion breed, ideally suited for individuals and families seeking a calm, loyal indoor dog with a strong emotional bond to its people.
Well-bred Pekingese are known for:

Despite their small size, the Pekingese possesses remarkable confidence and presence. Their dignified nature and steady temperament make them ideal companions for owners who value personality, elegance, and devotion over excess energy or constant stimulation.

Global standards, timeless type

World-Class Bloodlines & Preservation Focus

We work selectively with top international bloodlines from the United Kingdom, Spain, and the United States, prioritizing quality and compatibility over geography or popularity. Preservation breeding requires patience, restraint, and honesty—values we uphold in every aspect of our program.
Our goal is not simply to breed beautiful dogs, but to preserve the essence of the Pekingese for future generations.
We breed with respect—for the breed, for the dogs, and for the families who welcome them into their homes.
